So What Do You Think Mom?

So here are some pictures of the newly painted bathroom. You really can't tell much difference on the picture that the wall color is not white but it is now a beige color. The cabinet was white before but now a darker brownish/gold color and I also drilled holes for some wooden knobs. The ceiling, unfortunately needed painted too. I have a little trim work left to do but after spending 2 days in the bathroom, I needed a break. Caleb was funny by saying, "You did a good paint job but I really don't like the color!" He would only be truly happy if it was blue, green or orange. Lindsay's comment was that she liked the bathroom because she is use to this color (a repeating color in our house) and that it reminds her of chocolate!

Birthday Videos

So, As I mentioned in the first posting, I am just figuring things out. I would have put these videos next to the Birthday posts but I did not know how to publish them. After publishing a bunch of things, I went to bed (very late) only to lay there thinking of how I could publish these videos. It finally came to me. So I got up and tried. It took forever to download! So pause the song list at the bottom, turn up your volume and enjoy! I am off to bed now for the second time.

Easter

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a busy day. The kids woke us up wanting to find their baskets. We had to hurry to take Scott to the airport since he was leaving on a business trip. After dropping him off we went to Grandma Stout's for Easter dinner and egg hunt. It was nice to spend time with the family even though we missed Scott!

Easter Morning

Caleb is now a Cub Scout! (and I am Akela?!)

Another day Caleb was looking forward to. Scouts! He is having a lot of fun and there are a lot of boys in his pack. We have 4 wards that meet in our building but there are 2 wards that combine for scouts. Our new ward and our previous ward! So Caleb knows everyone and it is nice to get together with friends he does not see on a regular basis. Here is a picture of Caleb in his uniform before the first evening of scouts. Now on Wednesday's mom has Young Women, Lindsay has Achievment Days and Caleb has Scouts! Dad is left home all alone for some peace and quiet after a hard day at work (and cleaning up the dinner dishes!)

Caleb's 8th Birthday Party!

Well, the time finally came. Caleb has been waiting patiently for this day. His first sleepover. Lindsay had to wait until she was 8 so Mom & Dad made Caleb wait as well. (Note that Mom's excitement level was low and nerves were very, very high!) Caleb has been planning his party for at least a year. A Mario Party! His favorite! He invited 4 of his friends. The boys made pizza since it is one of Mario's favorites, had mushroom cupcakes, Yoshi Juice (Sprite) and Goomba Juice (Rootbeer). The major attraction for the evening was the Bowser Zone. Balloons filled with pictures of different Mario characters, pictures of coins, slips that said "Lose A Turn", "Free Spin" and of course, a picture of Bowser. Miles was the one who popped "defeated" the balloon with Bowser in it! Games were being played on the Wii and the Nintendo 64, with many games to choose from. The energy was high, the burping was loud, and the Tylenol came in handy but the boys had fun! Enjoy the pictures!

Eagle Crest

In March we had the opportunity to go to Eagle Crest in Redmond, Oregon for 4 days. What a wonderful time to spend with family and not have to worry about school, work, church, phone calls, etc. On the way, we stopped to go sled riding in the mountains. The kids had a blast. When we arrived, our condo had a wonderful view of the Deschutes River. The weather was in the low 60's so we spent most of our time with the kids in the outdoor heated pool. Caleb really improved his swimming! We had fun playing games, doing puzzles and relaxing. We had a great time - it was hard to leave!

Lindsay's 10th Birthday Party!

For our first post, we go back to January when Lindsay celebrated her 10th Birthday, Hannah Montana style! She had a sleepover with 5 of her friends. A night of laughing, karaoke, craft projects and watching Hannah Montana episodes kept them up until the early morning - They finally feel asleep around 3. The girls were so well behaved and most of all, Lindsay had a wonderful time at her party. Enjoy the slide show!

Getting With The Program!

Well I guess it is about time to have a family website. I really enjoy looking at everyone else's websites so that motivated me to finally start one for our family. I am just learning how to do this so our site may not be fancy but I will try my best! Hope you enjoy and please leave lots of comments!
